Skeleton creek

After analyzing your main character in a closer manner, you should now be able to compare and contrast that character with the main character from the class read. In an H-chart or in paragraph form, compare and contrast these two characters. Determine which one you identify the most with and why.

The book that I was reading is called "skeleton Creek". It's a really good book I loved it plus it gives you these codes you could go to on the computer. It tells you and shows you stuff Sarah and Ryan saw in this house. And when I predicted about Sarah if she'll die or stay alive the thing was after all that stuff they saw and got on video she lived.

Sarah is the same age as Frankie they both are 1 years old and very smart in a different way.Frankie is built as a computer and Sarah is a computer person cause of all her videos she does. They both are in high school.

Another thing is that they both have long black hair. And I think that's all that they have in common with each other.

Out of Frankie and Sarah the person I think is that identify me the most is Sarah. I say it's her cause well I like mysteries and computers. Plus, I'm not Frankie cause I'm not rich, a monster, or like a robot computer that has to be charged.

Skeleton Creek (Carmen Patrick)

(Be sure to include quote and page number!!)
You must use at LEAST 2 quotes from the book.
Understanding your character is a good way for you to really get into your book and see from another person's perspective. In your response this week, describe your character. Think about and discuss:
-1. your main character's personality
- 2. how they act/behave
- 3. what they look like
- 4. how old they are
- 5 what sort of education do you think that they have
- 6 who their friends and family are
- 8 and what their job is (if they have one).

I am reading the book called "Skeleton Creek" I am on page 105. There's basely only two characters which is Ryan and Sarah. Sarah is like the one that shoots everything they see that's going on at this house.

Sarah is my main character and her personality is well what I think is she likes Ryan her best friend. But um... Sarah sounds like a nice person and cool to hang with. Sarah acts real behave and acts her age.

Sarah has brown hair that's long, no glasses or braces, dresses good, and others.Sarah's real age is 15 years old but I'm not sure about Ryan's age.

Sarah's education I think she might have is be a actor and her school she goes to is well I'm not sure about that one. Her friends are just Ryan but there best friends. Sarah's family members is a mom and a dad. What Sarah's and ryan's job is school for now!!

week 2 - april 4 - april 8, 2011

Review the book description found on the back cover of your book. Using the information, and this information alone, construct two alternate titles for the book that appeal to you.Pick one of the two titles and create a catch phrase and movie poster. Describe (using language that will explain what you are talking about so that we can "see" it) the movie poster to sell the new titled novel.

I really like this book "Skeleton Creek" that wrote it Patrick Carman. But this book has a lot of mysteries in it I can't wait till I'm done with it. What I am cerise about is will Sarah live or die at the end of the book? Hmm... Sarah is the one that is control of the videos they do on this house. So far the page number that I'm on is page 70!

Well I'm gonna make a prediction now about Sarah I don't think she'll die, I think she will live. But I'm still not sure yet!

My cover has skulls everywhere and yes it has text writing like a Ryan's Journal and also the title of the book on it as you can tell. This book is so cool! I can't wait for the second one I wonder if that one will be good also.

Well the book is called "Skeleton Creek" so two different titles I can think of is "Skulls" and maybe "Skulls In A Hidden Creek." The title one that I will pick is "Skulls In A Hidden Creek" because it just seems scarier then just saying "Skulls" cause thats just one word. Well I can't find any kind of language that they speak I'm sorry I looked but I just didn't find nothing in or on Google.

Skeleton Creek (Carmen Patrick)

Give title, author, publisher, copy right date, genre (how do you know the genre from the back book, title page, text), a description of the cover of the book, and what main character(s) you have met so far and on what page you first met them??

The book that I am reading is called "Skeleton Creek" including the author is Carmen Patrick. Oh and ya the publisher was Scholastic Press and it was also copy right in 2009 thats the date!

What the genre is, is fiction-mystery and the reason that i know that is because I had asked the teacher to get the genre. The stuff thats on the title page is "Skeleton Creek" and under that it says Ryan's Journal... The description of the cover looks like skulls.

One charater I have met is named Sarah and I met her on page 4. Sarah Is the girl that is control of all the videos they do on this one house that has ghost in it i geuss.

"Zen and the art of faking it"

Week 5 12/6/10 – 12/10/10
As we are reading poetry and looking at various parts of poems, can you notice some of the same figurative language in your independent reading? Using your notes from this week, give examples of each of the parts of figurative language we've been discussing.   You may not find all types. If you can’t find any, look at the poem you put on the moodle or the lyrics to your favorite song.  The chart attachment is at the bottom of this page 'Week 5 Blog', use it to set up your blog.   Turn in a "Process Your Process" chart to show us how you tackled this blog. This is also at the bottom of this page.

Well I started a new book called "Zen and the art of faking it." It is actually really good that it is very interesting for anyone to read. Here's a little summery about the book. "A brave book... Jordan SonnenBlick carries it off with such charm & Elan, you forgot for a moment your heart is breaking." " SonnenBlick shows that even in the midst of tragedy, life goes on, love can flower, & the one thing you can always change is yourself." Since we been talking about poetry, here's one poem that has figurative language in it.

           POEM
 I'll always remember her,
in good times and in bed.
I'll always remember,
the good friend that I had.

Next year we'll be at different schools.  ------- Metaphor
We'll have new teachers, new friends,
and all new rules.

I'll always remember,
the good times that we had.
And with her in my heart,
I'll never feel bad!

Every time I saw her,
she made me feel better.
I liked her more then anything, the day that I met her.   ------- Simile
I wish we could've been best friends.
That way I'd know she'd remember me,
till the very end!

As our school year comes to an end,
I'll always remember her, as my "wanna be" best friend.  ------ Simile

Zoe & Chloe On The Prowl (Sue Limb)

Week 3 11.22.10 - 11.26.10

1.Using your notes from your reading, summarize what is happening in your story using 2 examples from your book. Include at least2. one connection and3. one inference that you made while reading. Keep in mind the previous feedback that you've received so that you don't make the same errors.

Well Zoe and Chloe is still fighting but they do still talk just a little. They both like Toby still but Toby don't like them. One connection I have with my book is that Zoe I sometimes don't answer my phone calls cause I don't feel like it. What I think is that when Toby is gone that Zoe and Chloe will become friends again.

Zoe & Chloe On The Prowl (Sue Limb)

Well i asked Dazheea to tell me more about her book and also what pages the information is on! Her blog was good but she just needs to talk more about her characters and what they do in her book.

what I would need to do better explaining my book is talk more about what they look like and what happens to them too.
